We have been having a nice summer and enjoying the mostly beautiful weather here in Provo. One thing that I haven't taken enough advantage of while living here is the availability of hiking trails, so Gerrit and I have taken some Saturdays recently and gone hiking! It's all a little new for me :), but the trails and views are really beautiful and it has been fun to be outside together. Here are some pictures from our Squaw Peak hike, which was the steepest trail I have ever been on. Luckily the Peak rewards you with a great view when you make it to the top!
Facing Provo
It was much colder than I expected at the top--luckily Gerrit had brought his sweatshirt and let me wear it :)
Looking back to the mountains
It was so cold that my Raynaud's kicked in: This is when my hands were almost back to normal. All my fingers had been as white as my middle fingers are here.
From the parking lot--this is what we hiked!
